A Mobile Wireless Augmented Guitar
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present the design of a mobile augmented guitar based on traditional playing, combined with gesture-based continuous control of audio processing. Remote sound processing is enabled through our dynamically reconfigurable low-latency high-fidelity audio streaming protocol included in a mobile wearable wireless platform. Initial results show the suitability audio and sensors data forwarding over IEEE 802.11 networks for low-latency feedback that opens up new perspectives for mobile and multimodal performance.

3D Path Planning Algorithm for Mobile Anchor-Assisted Positioning in Wireless Sensor Networks
Positioning service is one of Wireless Sensor Networks’ (WSNs) fundamental services. The accurate position of the sensor nodes plays a vital role in many applications of WSNs. In this paper, a 3D positioning algorithm is being proposed, using mobile anchor node to assist sensor nodes in order to estimate their positions in a 3D geospatial environment. However, mobile anchor node’s 3D path optim...
متن کاملMultimodal Guitar: A Toolbox For Augmented Guitar Performances
This project aims at studying how recent interactive and interactions technologies would help extend how we play the guitar, thus defining the “multimodal guitar”. Our contributions target three main axes: audio analysis, gestural control and audio synthesis. For this purpose, we designed and developed a freely-available toolbox for augmented guitar performances, compliant with the PureData and...
متن کاملAugmenting a guitar with its digital footprint
We explore how to digitally augment musical instruments by connecting them to their social histories. We describe the use of Internet of Things technologies to connect an acoustic guitar to its digital footprint – a record of how it was designed, built and played. We introduce the approach of crafting interactive decorative inlay into the body of an instrument that can then be scanned using mob...

متن کاملAn Approach to Instrument Augmentation: the Electric Guitar
In this paper we describe an ongoing research on augmented instruments, based on the specific case study of the electric guitar. The key question of the relationship between gesture, instrument and sound is approached via an analysis of the electric guitar’s design, playing technique and interface characteristics. The study points out some inherent defaults in the guitar’s current forms of acou...
